"Communication is the key. So often, people know what they want to say. They just have trouble saying it. That is where a professional writer is essential. From subtle changes in the structure of a sentence to the rewriting of an entire paragraph, proper editing will enhance the message."
-Bridget Huckabee

A native of England...
...and a naturalized United States citizen, Bridget Huckabee, uses the Queen’s English with a nod to the idioms of her adopted country. In other words, she spells like an American.
Bridget Huckabee was educated in an English girls’ school. For eleven years she toured the world as a professional ice skater. Her wardrobe trunk always held notebooks recording her experiences as she traveled. After a second career as a wife and mother, she began writing her memoirs, Traveling Home, and completed five short novels. Her third career began as a writer for Journal Communications of Tennessee with assignments that included articles on art, business, science and education. She is now completing the second volume of her memoirs, Traveling Alone.
Bridget worked for Journal Communications for five years and wrote articles on a variety of subjects for community magazines all over the United States. She writes press releases for the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce and is the editor of their monthly newsletter. The Stanly County Convention and Visitors Bureau recently employed her to write articles for the Discover Stanly magazine, the CVB website and a weekly column for the area’s newspapers. Small Business Websites employs her to write weekly blogs for its sites and to write a quarterly newsletter for its clients. She is the writer, editor and photographer for the Badin Villager, a monthly newsletter. Other work includes articles for Travel Host, a Charlotte magazine, and numerous newspaper articles. Her fiction and non-fiction writing includes short stories and memoirs. These have won literary awards on a national and state level.
